Australian made series/ Palm beach Collection

We love Australian made. Over the next couple of months we will be celebrating Australian businesses and having a sneak peek inside some of the Australian brands that we proudly stock.

This month we catch up with one half of the creative duo behind Palm Beach Collection, Kirsten Walker. Palm Beach Collection is Australia’s favourite home fragrance brand. It is proudly a family run business and they are passionate about ensuring their products remain Australian made, close to their home on Sydney’s northern beaches.

What is one thing you cannot live without in your home?

Fresh flowers. Candles. Coffee. Wine. My family.

Favourite way to spend a weekend?

Definitely by the sea. We (my family) are all at our happiest when we are by the water. In fact that is where I draw a lot of my inspiration from for the PBC collection- the ocean.

How important is it to you to keep your products Australian made?

Very important. For us, we take pride in our quality and being able to offer customers a carefully made product. It certainly does have its challenges but I would not have it any other way. We believe in Australian made and I personally love to support local businesses.

Best styling advice?

For me, less is more. Buying fresh flowers always helps freshen up a space and I never leave home without making the beds.

What do you look for when creating fragrances for the collection?

I always try and find fragrances I love and try to think what would work well within the Australian market. It’s so much fun coming up with new combinations and discovering what works well together. I love twists on the classics. I also believe collaborating with other creatives helps us to come up with original and one off fragrances that you cannot find anywhere else.
